Settlement Data & Verdict Research

Research Desk.

The contributors who source, cross-check, and inflation-adjust the settlement figures cited on every band page.

The Research Desk is the contributing team responsible for sourcing the primary figures that populate every band table on MyClaimWorth. Members of the desk track the published authority documents in each of the 15 covered jurisdictions, retrieve verdict and settlement databases where they exist (jury verdict reporters in the US, ICJL settlement summaries in Ireland, JC Guidelines updates in England and Wales), and inflation-adjust historical figures to current pounds, euros, dollars, or local currency.

Every band shown on the site has a citation back to the published authority that supports it. Where two reasonable authorities disagree (e.g. a JC Guidelines tier vs. a recent Court of Appeal decision), the desk surfaces the conflict on the country page rather than hiding it. Where a figure cannot be sourced, the desk does not invent one.

The desk is named on data pages alongside the editorial byline. Individual researchers contributing to long-form articles carry their own byline.
